Supplement to Autumn Newsletter

Dear members,

Since preparing and communicating the Autumn Newsletter I have received advice from  the South Australia seniors that the dates for the McIntyre may need to be reviewed because the AFL has indicated that it may be playing the “Gather Round” over the course of the weekend when the McIntyre is scheduled to start. 

If that happens, apparently the AFL  has some arrangement with the Oval Hotel, which may supersede the booking the SA seniors have already made. They are meeting the relevant parties early this week and the position should be clearer by week end.

While there are no plans at present to change the dates for the 2024 tour, I should indicate that that is a possibility depending upon the outcome of their discussions. So the upshot of all that is that you should hold off on making your travel arrangements for both the 2024 tour and the McIntyre for the present, but hopefully this  will  be resolved shortly.
